West Viriginia University researches with LSR and LFA

Oxide ceramics are the focus of Professor Song’s team, which conducts research in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. West Virginia University has access to powerful instrumentation such as LSR (Seebeck) and LFA (thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity).

Heat recovery will play an increasingly important role in balancing the growing demand for electricity with the carbon footprint of industrial processes. This is where thermoelectric oxide ceramics such as ours come in, as they significantly improve the ability of thermoelectric generators to convert waste heat into electricity.
