A custom-designed Laser Flash system has been successfully installed at CEA Cadarache, one of Europe’s leading nuclear research centers. This unique thermal analysis instrument has been specifically engineered to operate within a shielded cell and glove box, allowing for the precise measurement of thermal diffusivity in radioactive materials.

The system was developed by Linseis, a manufacturer of high-precision thermal analysis instruments. Due to the extreme conditions of the measurement environment, the device was custom-built to comply with strict safety and operational requirements.
